I owned one Jet tone MF that Marco bought - but never played them. Not sure why that is up there. I did play an original MF Giardinelli from the 60's.

I don't believe that mouthpiece is from the 70's. I bought quite a few Ratzenburger Jet Tone's in the mid/late 70's into the 80's and they always came in a clear plastic case. The mouthpiece Marco...

Hi Beryllium bell Mine was in a plastic case with that picture of MF in the lid - I think it was from around 75 - 78 - but things get a little foggy back that far back.

Would anyone know about the jet-tone m`piece that Don Ellis had. It`s on the back cover of his album "Live At Montreux", Atlantic 1978. It quite possibly have been a "custom" piece just for him.

I have that album also, and I actually bought it for the mouthpiece picture on the back side (trumpet players will understand this). It has a very cool look.

Don's mouthpiece was Jettone that was made from Roy Stevens blank. Don studied from Roy, so he was using the RS1 Jettone. (they are Studio Model B with different exterior) Here are piccs of my RS...
